Classrooms
(a) Number and capacity of rooms: Five (5) classrooms, capacity 40-60 students / room, and four (4) amphitheater rooms with a capacity of 70 - 80 students and in collaboration with the other departments of DI.PA.E. there is a possibility to use the large amphitheater of the institution.
(b) Adequacy, suitability and quality of rooms: The classrooms are considered adequate and properly equipped with almost all modern supervisory teaching aids and three (3) which also have interactive whiteboards.
(c) Degree of
use of rooms: All
classrooms are used by the Department of Management Science & Technology on
a daily basis and in an intensive manner.
Educational Laboratories
Nine (9) classrooms of Computer Laboratories, with 20-25 seats / laboratory. In total, the available PCs are 214.
The laboratories are judged to be adequate and properly equipped. However, they require constant upgrading of the premises.
Intensive use of laboratories.
There are no institutionalized classrooms in the department but they are in his future plans. One of the existing laboratories is free in daily access for students to have electronic access to the electronic services of the library and to access the asynchronous education platform and for all information technology and telecommunications services. The laboratory is controlled by students of the department in the context of student employment.
Library
The Library of the institution has been operating since 1989. In 2002 it was renamed the Department of Publications and Library and is an independent part of the Foundation. Since 1998 it is housed in a newly built two-storey building, with a total area of 800 m2 with a lending section and a reading room with 200 seats. Her collection includes 30,000 books, 3,000 accessible (electronic and non-electronic) journal titles as well as a large number of dissertations. It is also a subscriber to 17 electronic sources of information (online databases, digital libraries, statistical databases, etc.).
The Library, as a modern academic library, is an integral part of the education, learning, support and promotion of the educational and research work of the Foundation. Its mission is to provide, manage and make available information, support undergraduate and postgraduate students, strengthen and support the educational and research activities of the Foundation and its effective participation in every activity that promotes education.
The information flows. Scientific knowledge is expanding. Data is aging at an extremely fast pace.
In science and research, more than ever before, it is not so important to possess knowledge as to know how to seek it.
